Reflexology

Reflexology is also known as reflexotherapy or reflex treatment. Treatment works through reflex points, areas, or zones. My qualification is as a modern reflexologist, meaning that the treatment area is the whole body (not just the soles of the feet). This is a holistic treatment method with effects on physical, emotional, and mental symptoms. Vital energy – life force – flows between the organs of the body, permeating every living cell and tissue. If the energy flow becomes blocked, the part of the body behind the blockage begins to show symptoms. Energy blockages are reflected particularly in the zones located in the hands, feet, and ears. Energy blockages can be caused by many different factors, such as stress, diet, lifestyle, different life phases, and so on. Energy blockages are opened and crystalline deposits broken down using massage and pressure techniques. Blood circulation and lymphatic circulation are stimulated and the elimination of toxins is enhanced. A prerequisite for healing is finding the underlying cause. For this reason, treatment also includes conversation.

Reflexology is used not only for relieving various symptoms but also for treating stress, tension, and fatigue, as well as for disease prevention. Reflexology supports a person throughout their entire life cycle. It is a good treatment modality for all ages. Even a newborn who cannot yet communicate much understands touch. From birth onwards, reflexology can be used to treat stomach and digestive complaints and recurrent infections such as ear infections. In the care of the elderly, reflexology is gentle and caring. In older people, other senses may have weakened, but the sense of touch remains and touch once again becomes an important part of communication. Reflexology relaxes the mind and stimulates the metabolism.
